Muzika for Mac · Last updated: August 28, 2026

Muzika analyses songs on your Mac. It collects nothing about you and sends nothing about your songs anywhere.

What stays on your Mac

The one network request

Once a month, if you leave the option on in Settings, the app fetches https://tkgdata.com/muzika/model.json — a file of a few hundred kilobytes holding statistical coefficients and percentile tables derived from public chart data. The request is a plain conditional GET: it carries no identifier, no account, and nothing about you or your songs. Our web server logs the request as it logs any page view (IP address, time, user agent), and those logs are rotated automatically. You can switch the refresh off; the app then uses the copy it shipped with.

What the model file contains

Fitted regression coefficients, confidence intervals and per-era percentile tables. It contains no song titles, artists, lyrics or chart rows.

Analytics and advertising

There are none. No analytics framework, no advertising SDK, no crash reporter, no third-party code.
