See what your notes know

Notecosm reads the notes you already have — any folder of Markdown or text, an Obsidian vault included — and draws them as a map. Notes that mean similar things sit near each other and are joined, whether or not you ever linked them. Groups appear on their own, each with a name. Nothing leaves your Mac.

Sixteen seconds with a real vault: the map of every note, a star opened to read, and the same knowledge in three dimensions.
The map: notes as coloured stars grouped by meaning, each group named, with a legend of the groups beside it
Every note is a star. What sits together, means together — and each group carries the name of what it is about.
A note open beside the map: its nearest notes with similarity scores, and the note itself rendered from Markdown
Click a star to read the note and see what it sits near — the notes you never linked but always meant to.
A search running: the map dimmed except the region that answers, and the results ranked beside it
Search by meaning and by the words at once. The map lights up where the answers are.
The same graph in three dimensions: a star field with the group names floating in it
The same map in three dimensions, when a flat one is not enough room.
